I have no real clue how to do pretty much anything in the game.

I just press random keys and random stuff happens, but I don’t really understand most of it.

I have looked everywhere but apparently there is not even a README file.

Please, can you somehow expose the controls to the player? Doesn’t matter if in-game, in a README or both. At least write it down somewhere.

I know this game is still in Alpha but I think writing down the game is incredibly important if you want to attract more attention from playtesters.

Thanks for reading this.

The game requires a controller.

Current keyboard controls are listed in the wiki and are being worked on, but will never be a priority, as the entire control scheme is based on joystick input.

I think you’re missing the point. ;-)

It’s not about moving to keyboard. It’s just about writing down the controls.

Uhhh, the wiki? The Wiki on Gitea? That’s not discoverable at all, it’s well hidden behind multiple layers of links on a dev site. Extremely unlikely players will ever search there …

I hereby propose to copy/move the wiki page into a README or other text file so that players at least have a chance to find it. The complete lack of a README is mildly disturbing.

If you just download shuvit normally, there is zero chance you’ll learn the controls.

My point was keyboard controls do not exist yet. What’s there is for experimental and debugging purposes, and are in no way intended to be used by end users. This is why no obvious documentation exists. This is why the downloads page says controller required.

When/If they exist, they will be documented.

Please do not attempt to play shuvit v0.1.2b without a controller. It makes me unbelievably sad.
